The last time I played this all of the images were very clean and there were no resolution issues, but now for whatever reason there are horribly bad JPG jagged edges on every image and the resolution for the text boxes makes everything difficult to read.

I've tried on a 1920x1080 monitor and a 1360x768 screen.

In Linux installed with the itch.io App an error ecoors:

Error

The following features required to run Godot projects on the Web are missing:

Cross Origin Isolation - Check web server configuration (send correct headers)

SharedArrayBuffer - Check web server configuration (send correct headers)

dude same

this game is supposed to run in a browser. is there an itch io app for linux?

I'm liking the game, but could you put an indication if the ending you found is a true, secondary or tertiary?

Hey just wondering how the guide is coming around

shit it fuckin exploded

(7 edits)

can someone plz help me get to the dream ending. i can get to the lab ending where she grows to max size and i can get to where she grow very big in the dream setting but i keep getting to the ending where the quits and i cant seem to get anywhere. ive try all the obvious options and a bunch of the not no obvious options and nothing seems to get me though. im getting pretty tired of trying

honestly this game's paths dont make any sense. it seems complete arbitrary to what option actually progress the story. i am just completely frustrated at this point

(+1)

It took me a few hours but was able to reach the ending. Both path share the same answer until mid of the game when Olivia reach you in the lab, select the choice "I look happy", "respond calm" then "Do you know about my dreams?".  To reach the dream ending from there, select the following choice:

"Comment on her appearance."

"Tease her lightly."

"doesn't matter!"

For the last choice, there is 4 "Yes" choice, the third is the right one.

what about the other ending?

how do you get the lab endin

(+1)

Here the full guide for reaching both ending. The dream and lab ending share the same answer until a certain choice later on.

"I am feeling Perfect!"

" I had a dream about you"

"You appeared as the most beautiful woman I've ever seen "

"Yeah, am I right ?"

"What happened, why are you so mean?"

"Impossible!"

"Those dreams are driving me mad"

"Actually"

"Yes, but you have to tell me why."

"WOW look at you, you've changed!"

" look happy"

" respond clam"

At this point, the ending will depend which choice you select:

-For the lab ending chose "yes I am" then the following:

"Tease Olivia about the change"

"Comment on the change"

"Show concern"

"Directly ask for the change"

-For the dream ending, chose "Do you know about my dreams?" then the following:

"Comment on her appearance."

"Tease her lightly."

"doesn't matter!"

For the last choice, there is 4 "Yes" choice, the third is the right one.

Regarding the 4 alternate ending, hard to tell which it is because each ending had "My life remain the same" text. Honestly, the game author should put different text on his game if we reach a good ending or not.
(+2)

Someone probably already mentioned it but method of skipping through dialogue is needed.

(+2)

been enjoying it but trying to get any of the proper endings is just a nightmare and way too frustrating

(+1)

yeah i've spent so long trying to even get one ending that isn't some variation of my life remained the same and nothing's happened. its not worth my time to try and get anything else at this point

(+1)(-2)

sorry to hear that >_<

(-2)

sorry to hear that >_<

(+1)

I like it, however it's in desperate need of a walk through, I can't seem to get any different endings.

Its always either "my life stay the same" or the dream one where she quits the company.

(+1)(-1)

I'm working on a guide.

Glad to hear that! :D
All in all, its a nice little game and i'm looking forward to see what more you may cook up in the future.

(+1)

how the guide comin

Hmmmm how can I know if I've reached both true endings? In one, she's in the lab and keeps growing until she undershirt is gone and then she leaves. In the other, I choose the 3rd "yes" option in the dream but it ends abruptly after.

Is that it? Was hoping for more, especially since it had so many choices that realistically can only be brute forced

Might be ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

(+2)

I was hoping for a straight answer. If there are endings which require perfect answers for each choice, then there's like 18 choices to make and almost 2 million combinations.

So it's going to be pretty unlikely for anyone to find these true endings that's mentioned.

Oh yeah, it would also be nice to have a restart button. At the end, it's all black with no option to restart so the page needs to be refreshed and the game reloaded. Would be a nice quality of life feature :)

Also when Olivia gets angry and the game restarts, it would be better to go back to the home screen instead of looping back at the start. With the current bug of the background not changing, it's really confusing.

You're certainly right there are many combinations that converge to certain endings. And people have been playing a lot and some got through all of them. But it is true, the game could've been less complex and easier. It seems my games can be very simple and very difficult in the same time and I can't seem to strike a balance... I am however working on a guide. Sorry for not giving a straight answer.

Can you tell how you got to that part lf the dream? I have reached once, but don't remember how and I'm kinda tired of trying :/

those are the two true endings to my knowledge

I liked your game. Slightly tightened and not short, that's the thing. I also like that there are a lot of possible endings here.

Thank you very much!

This games literary elements to induce trance sensations is definitely a unique take among BE games that worked well from a narrative and gameplay perspective: its like experiencing a mystery visual novel and piecing together any possible leads to understand your cerebral experience. I wish the daily commutes had more metaphysical, abstract descriptions to further bliss out the player as I feel most of the other scenarios created a disconnected feeling. Perhaps more characters (coworkers) who speak further confusions can exemplify the trance, dreamlike themes. But I can easily imagine most players (myself included) sought this game for BE content, which coupled with the lack of concrete hints to find true endings frustrating. I played just under and hour and in the last 10 minutes gave up trying to piece together leads and tried to brute force through scenarios. The proof of concept is very interesting and would love to see either more development or a new story told similarly. I respect that HER is direct about the lack of explicit content.

Thanks a lot! I found it especially challenging the process of balancing everything. The initial concept/ story was at least 3x longer. I had to trim it down so the experience wouldn't get too boring. There was explicit content planned for this game as the story would have allowed for it, but I was and still am very reluctant in adding any nsfw content in this game or any other of my games. If anyone reading this comment, could you please confirm you want explicit content in those type of games or not? Thanks a lot!

It's definitely welcome! Also, the design of Olivia is very nice. The model you ended up using does a great job once she gets bigger in the work from home ending(?) with her clothes.

Do you think you might update this game to make the way it works clearer?
On my 1st playthrough I thought the choices only affect the dialogue right after and nothing else. I think it's a bit of a problem that there is no system for tracking which endings you got and which ones you didn't, which is made even worse by the fact that there is no way of telling what will be the result of the choice you've made, especially if you don't know what comes after it.

Why does choice 1 let you make 3 more choices a given conversation but choice 3 ends it, but then making a choice that sounds the same 2 conversations down the line has a completely different effect

So far I've found 2 endings, one where she works from home and gets relatively big then the game randomly ends, and one where the game ends earlier with her leaving and sending a photo from before she started growing in the email. Are those endings considered to be some of those 10 advertised endings, but happening from different decisions you've made earlier? I've replayed the game like 30 times and I'm starting to get tired of it, and I did everything short of bruteforcing every single combination of choices and writing down what I did each time, but that's suffering and not enjoyable gameplay unfortunately...

I've also found a bug: Losing the game by getting fired instantly resets it but sometimes doesn't change the background, so I ended up having the 1st short opening dream sequence in the office.

definitely taking this into consideration. Also thank you for reporting the bug. Working on a guide to make it more enjoyable.

(1 edit)

I certainly don't mind explicit content, but I'm not fixated on sex. I would personally greatly enjoy topless, and I think a dream sex scene/titfuck could definitely heighten the experience of this game.

I would also like a downloadable version. Really cool little game, it's got me inspired to make some smaller things like this! I like your Making Of a lot.

Also, it seems to behave strangely on Chrome on Mac - it loads, but it only shows the bedroom background without ever opening the first textbox. On my phone (android, chrome) it works fine.

Edit: Safari seems to work fine on MacOS.

Thank you greatly for your feedback! definitely thinking of releasing it on windows/linux. I don't know if I can do it for mac as you need a developer account and all that.

No worries, I think most people have a better network connection than I was dealing with. Looking forward to whatever is next!

Really like the game but can only seem to get the nothing changed ending and am very confused.

nice one, hope to see a walktrough

(-9)

This was ummmm INTERTAINING lmao. your game Definitely made for one of the Funniest part of my video so thank you lol. Oh and also I didn't play the whole thing so people would come and EXPERIMENT here themself

(+1)(-2)

Thank you for playing and having a ton of fun with it! Wish you millions of views and millions of subscribers!

is it possible to make an html version, because when i hit run it opens in a new tab and doesnt finish the load and continues spinning the circle

What browser are you using?

(-1)

Safari, but i think the issue is the kind of device I’m using. Iphone 7 to be exact, any file types are unrecognized therefore unable to be downloaded

(1 edit)

I've reached both endings, using an autoclicker to play. There's the dream ending and the lab ending. Couldn't get to know the reason why she's growing, tought. She talks about medication, but didn't explain whats happening. Am I missing something?

Tip: at the dream ending, there are four "yes" options. Three are useless, but one of them reveals one more stage.

(+1)

You're correct! The game does not reveal much about her health issues and if you went through all of it (I assume you did) then that's that. The original concept story was 3x longer but much of it I deleted to keep the game short. Thank you for playing and good thing you found an innovative approach to play it all through. That's what I call dedication!

Can you tell how you got to that part lf the dream? I have reached once, but don't remember how and I'm kinda tired of trying :/

(1 edit)

Any walktorught on the choices? I'm kinda running in circles now
Great game!

(+1)

thanks a lot! I will probably start working on an "ending tracker". Let's see how that goes. If that doesn't work I will probably just release a guide.

(+1)

Any chance of releasing a guide? The game is impossible otherwise. There's too many choices and it takes too long to reach the end only to get endings where life stays the same

(1 edit) (-1)

Is there a part 2?  (Upcoming or another stage Idk about) It seems no matter what I do. I get to that certain point, where she grows In-front of you, then of-course you see her "final?" size?

What am I missing?

you certainly reached one ending at least!

(+1)

Is that 1 of the true endings, or no? ^^;

Btw u might want to add a skip or/and a save option.

(1 edit)

Saving in a web game can be a challenging task, so it's less likely to be implemented. But thanks a lot for your suggestions nonetheless.

Oh okay, nu worries. But did I reach a true ending? I Just then see at the end, "my life didn't change"

(1 edit)

Absolutely bonkers premise. Love it

thanks a lot!

is there some clue how to get the endings im getting insane

try different options. Have you considered feeling "perfect"? that sounds so weird...

(+1)

The story is intriguing but given this isn't a Ren'Py game (i.e. has saves and skipping seen text), trying to play through multiple times is time consuming and physically taxing with all the clicking.

(+1)

Hi! thanks for pointing that out. Unfortunately, the game runs on web so a save system would be kind of challenging to implement. I will see what can be done.

Hey boss! wanted to let you know, tried to run this, and it spat out "WebGL context lost, please reload the page" and reloading didn't help.

(+1)

Hi, thanks! can you please tell me the browser you tried to run it on?

Just the bog standard Chrome, but I'm running it on a Mac, if that changes anything.

(+1)

does running it on other browsers change anything? I haven't used chrome for years and never will again.

I can confirm after trying it, the game runs in Safari.

(+1)

Thanks for your confirmation and have fun with it!

(+1)

Mind marking this as adult?

I love it

ill give it another play-through sometime later

Thanks a lot!

(+1)

Not bad at all, gets a bit harder to keep track of choices and endings as i go on

Maybe an ending tracker can be implemented?

Thanks! I've never heard of an ending tracker. Can you point out other games using this method?

(1 edit)

https://nicksav.itch.io/growing-rivalry-demo

Is the first one that came to mind…not as much just an ending tracker but a massive CG gallery that tracks the different endings and progressions of all the characters.

(+1)

Perfect example of what i meant honestly

I will definitely look into it, thanks!
